Playtesting & Feedback
The first time we had people play test our game, the majority of the feedback they had was mostly based on what they currently had in front of them rather than the system itself, having stated that the level didn't feel like a level due to the fact there was no danger, there were no enemies, and the overall trial wasn't tricky. As we already had things planned for the levels, this was easy to overlook as we had it covered, so we focused on the rest of it, such as the fact that the keyboard should allow both sides to be played, arrow-keys and WASD.
The next time we playtested was nearing the end, as we had a variety of different people, both from and out of the school, commented on certain aspects that we felt were much more valuable. For instance, despite the fact we decided to leave it for last- the sound was a HUGE thing everyone disliked the fact it didn't have. There was also the bugs, such as the fact the player cannot fire when they're going up on a platform to the fact that some platforms stop the player from moving at times. These are all things that we plan on fixing and are very grateful to have been told such.
